New Cover Song

ohosiris:

Good evening, friends.

Two days ago, I received a request for downloadable audio of a cover I did in a video. I decided to take a few hours and record a much better version of the song, which you can hear right here:

I hope you enjoy the song. Feel free to download it at no cost.

May your days treat you well.

New Song: Here is a cover song.

One morning, as I was setting up my equipment and testing out the new layout, I stumbled across a familiar guitar riff. As I slowly began to remember the song and artist, I decided to start recording to see if I could figure it out without looking into it. Two days go by, and I have a complete cover of Blink 182’s Mh 4.18.2011.

Let me just say that it has been years (nearly six) since I have played any punk or pop-punk. It was fun returning to my basic musical roots. The song is up as a free download. I hope you enjoy it.

Where We Stand (clip)

ohosiris:

Good day, everybody!

It has been a few weeks since I have forced anything new through the interwebs, and with that said, I would like to give you the opportunity to listen to a small portion of a new song. If you followed our failed attempt at 365 days of media, you may know that the Oh Osiris sound has changed quite a bit, but the original is still very present.

Here is a preview of Where We Stand. I hope you enjoy:

And Then There Were Seven of the Day: “Here in our state we have taken a long and difficult journey, and this is the last step,” declared Governor Christine Gregoire as she signed the bill making same-sex marriages legal in the state of Washington.
The Evergreen State thus joins six other states (MA, NH, VT, CT, IA, NY) and the District of Columbia in recognizing the right of same-sex couples to marry.
The law doesn’t officially take effect until June 7th, meaning opponents have until June 6th to gather the 120,000 signatures necessary to stop same-sex marriages and put the issue on November’s ballot.
In related news, New Jersey’s state Senate today also passed legislation legalizing same-sex marriage, but the Garden State has still a ways to go: Gov. Chris Christie has vowed to veto any same-sex bill that crosses his desk.

A story written high by one Cronizal.

This is probably the most hilarious short story I have ever read. Somebody needs to illustrate this masterpiece.

There was was a boy who loved to ride horses. But one day a troll came to destroy his village. He was riding in a field and when he came back to town, there was a giant orc destroying the town. He was devastated at first but then my dad was dressed up as Fred flintstone. The boy grew into a man, and started his quest to find some gold in places far away. But when he got there, he had to learn how to fish from a very old man (Voiced by Christopher Walkens). “Listen Boy,” he said, “one day you’ll have to fish for the honor of your whole town.” So when the day came to show the world he could fish for the memory of his destroyed town there was a great storm. It was so vicious it tore the straw from the villagers houses roofs. So he drowned, and his soul leaked out of his body. So then he was a ghost. It was scary for him at first but he eventually got used to it. It wasn’t much different from being alive.

New Website

Hello there!

I am just stopping by to let you all know about something that I am currently holding very close to my heart. It is a media project that has been brought to life by my three friends; David, Peter, Michael, and myself.

The Media Trio

This project is meant to help us develop in our particular fields of photography, film, audio, and drawing/painting. We have decided to make it a 366 day project (2012 is a leap year), and are doing our best to keep it up to date every single day. (Although, for the last two days, the mass power outage up here in Washington has slightly hindered everybody’s ability to do so.)

All of the material on the site is free to use, but you can not sell anything containing our work without our written permission. Also, we have decided to place a donate button up top. This way, we might be able to fund the project in multiple ways including but not limited to; better equipment, new site features, and trips outside of our county (Ha!).

I hope you enjoy our project, and I wish you a wonderful January.
